Go Team!

Hello again users! Welcome to another Use It Tuesday Challenge. This is sort of bittersweet because this is my last project as DT member for this wonderful team. I've been so lucky to be part of this team and to have worked with very talented crafters. Special thanks go to Sami and Siobhan who have been nothing but gracious to us.

Now for the challenge.

Our challenge this week is to make a project (layout, card, etc.) about out the color of your favorite sports team. Now I'm not at all into sports but my husband is. He is a big Celtics fan and of course, that says green.

Here's my layout:

Papers, alpha stickers and embellishments are by Basic Grey.

Please do join us for this challenge. I invite you to visit the Use It Tuesday blog for challenge details and to see the wonderful creations of our fabulous DT. This challenge is open to all scrapbookers and card makers.

Just a friendly reminder: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

So dig into your stash and USE IT!

Thanks for visiting!

Scrapfit Challenge

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas.

For me, the downtime during the Christmas holiday season is the time between Christmas and New Year. And that time is now. I did some blog hopping and found ScrapFIT and decided to join their Weekend Warm Up Challenge #21, which is to choose a favorite layout in 2011.

This is a layout I made when I was a DT member for Sassy Lil Sketches. I like that it's clean, simple and best of all, it's about my little boy.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Holidays!

Hello there users! Are you into the Christmas rush yet? Well then, do take a break and join us at Use It Tuesday. It's time for Challenge #21!

Our challenge this week is to make a project (layout, card, etc.) about out theme "Holiday". It doesn't have to be Christmas but anything that you and / or your family celebrates.

Here's my layout:

This is a photo of my family and relatives on my father's side - with my brother, my uncle, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Having lunch together on Christmas Day is a tradition I grew up in. I don't remember not doing this.

Papers are October Afternoon, buttons by American Crafts, rubons by Heidi Grace, and alpha by Thickers.

Thankful

Hello there users! It's time for Challenge #20 at Use It Tuesday.

Because it's almost Thanksgiving, our challenge this week is to make a project (layout, card, etc.) about "Giving Thanks". We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the Philippines (maybe we should) but I've been to a few Thanksgiving celebrations myself and it is nothing but fun and good food!

This week I put myself to the test. Instead of a layout, I made a Thank You card. I am not at all a card maker and this was really a challenge for me. Here is my attempt at card making.

I used old papers from my American Crafts stash, some old twine and almost dry Stickles. What do you think? :)

Have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Use It Tuesday #17 - Metal

Hello there users! It's time for Challenge #17 at Use It Tuesday.

Our challenge this week is to make a project (layout, card, etc.) about our theme "Metal". Once again, dig into your stash and join us!

Here's my layout:

When I started scrapbooking, one of the first suppliesI bought a lot of were metal embellishments - brads, eyelets, frames, alpha, etc. So I was really excited for this challenge because it gave me a reason to look through my stash. I was relieved to find that they weren't rusty, just dusty. I used a metal frame and adhered it to my layout with brads (metal, of course!). I also used round brad alphas for the word "bubble" in my title - to "resemble" bubbles :)

Please do join us for this challenge. I invite you to visit the Use It Tuesday blog for challenge details and to see the wonderful creations of our fabulous DT. This challenge is open to all scrapbookers and card makers.

Scrapbook Challenge: It Takes Two!

Hello there! I've been quiet the past couple of weeks and I blame it on my internet connection (or lack thereof!). Now I'm finally "online" and I'm back with a challenge.

This week at Scrapbook Challenges, we bring you our "By The Numbers" Challenge. The challenge calls for layout with two (2) pieces of each item. For example, 2 patterned papers, 2 brads, 2 ribbons, and so on. You may use as many items or supplies as you want as long as you use 2 of each.

Here's my sample layout:

Supplies:

2 patterned papers
2 cardstock
2 fonts
2 rubons
2 stickers
2 buttons
2 fonts

The number of photos and words in your title is all up to you. I just made it part of my 2’s to make it more fun.

Please do join us at Scrapbook Challenges and challenge your scrap!

Happy scrapping! :)

Hello there users! It's time for Challenge #14 at Use It Tuesday.

Our challenge this week is to make a project (layout, card, etc.) about our theme "Back To School". Once again, dig into your stash and join us!

My layout isn't really about going back to school but going to school for the first time. I've had this photo of my son from last year during his very first day at toddler school. It was taken just outside the entrance of the school. He was calm outside but the calm was left outside the moment he entered the school!

Who Doesn't Like Chocolate?

That would be me. I'm one of those boring people who doesn't get excited at the sight of chocolate. I eat chocolate, sure but usually just a teeny tiny taste.

My son, on the other hand, loves chocolate ice cream. I make sure I have some at home especially this time of year where summer is really at its best (or is it worst?!?!?).

For my Sassy Lil' Sketch reveal this month, I made a LO with a picture of my boy eating for the first time chocolate ice cream in an ice cream cone.

This is ScrapaGoGo's January kit. The papers are great and the embellishments are fabulous! Here are five layouts I made with it. Please note that the only materials I used that are not included in the kit are paint, pens and inks.

Meanwhile, there's still much left of the kit. I think I can make at least three more LOs.
