Take Two!
Hi everyone! I'm hosting a challenge over at Creative Scrappers. I call it my "Take Two" challenge. You may view the details here or just read on.
Jao is turning two this month, hence, the "take two". My challenge for all our creative scrappers is to create a layout (12x12 or 8-1/2x11) using 2 pieces of each material - 2 cs, 2 pps, 2 buttons, 2 flowers, 2 chipboard, you name it! There is no limit to the number of materials you want to use as long as it's 2 of each. And everything else like the photos, words in a title, theme, color, etc is all up to you!
Please upload your LOs in the Creative Scrappers gallery in the album for this challenge by July 31st.
Here's my sample LO:
Title: College Remembered
Journaling: Bubbles, Fatima, Dylyn, and Dinah. Greenhills, Feb 2009
Supplies: CS - Bazzill; PP - SEI; Flowers - Prima; Rubons - FP & Heather Bailey; Sticker tags - 7Gypsies; Misc buttons & bling.
There's more....
For all Philippine residents who will join the challenge (and whose LOs are uploaded in the Creative Scrappers gallery) , I will randomly draw another winner for a RAK! Please leave a comment when you've uploaded your LO.
Hope you can all join!

Use Up Your Scraps
Yep. That's what I've been doing the last few weeks. I thought I'd stop scrap shopping for a little while and save a little. Well, except for that one April Saturday EB at Lasting Impression and my Studio Calico subscription. But that's it, I promise.
So anyway, here are some of the pages I made with scraps. Gives true meaning to the word scrapbook, don't you think?
Title: Queer Eye Cuties
Journaling: Ambush photo op with Kyan Douglas and Thom Filicia of the Fab 5. M Cafe, Greenbelt, 2005
Materials: DCWV CS, Fontwerks, Chatterbox & KI papers, AC thickers, Buzz & Bloom chipboard, Making Memories journal sheet, Ranger crackle paint, Shrink Film, Stazon & Colorbox Inks, Marvy markers, Zig pen, Misc corr board for stamping
Title: Blessing
Journaling: You remind me everyday how lucky & special your Dad & I are. We are truly blessed and we cannot thank God enough.
"A child is the greatest joy, the ultimate blessing" - Emily Laughton
Materials: Bazzill CS, Sassafras papers, AC thickers, Maya Road sheer, AC slick writer, Sassafras stickers

I joined the Layout Kit Contest over at Creative Scrappers. The rules are simple. From your stash, create you own kit with 1 cardstock, 6 patterend papers, alpha, chipboard, flowers, and buttons. Then create 2 layouts using the kit. And here's what I came up with:
Here's my kit:
SUNSET KISS
Cardstock - DCWV brown
Patterned Papers - 3 Sassafras Orange Peel and 3 Dream Street Forget-Me-Not
Alpha - AC Thickers Darling
Chipboard - Maya Road
Flowers - Daisy Ds
Buttons - Making Memories
And here are my 2 layouts:

Baby Dreams

Sketch #38
Creative Scrappers Sketch 38 is by Deanne Burton. It's a simple sketch of circles. I had fun making this one because I like circles.
Title: Brothers
Journaling: These are my 2 kuyas (older brothers). The photos are at least 40 years apart. I can't believe that they still have the same smiles.
Please click here to view the wonderful creations of my co-DTs.

1 Hour Layout
I joined Creative Scrappers' 1 hour layout contest this morning. I thought it would be easy. All it required was a 5x7 photo and we could use any of our supplies. There was even a sketch. Piece of cake, right? Not! It's never easy for me to make a page under pressure.
You see, just about 10-15 minutes to deadline when all I needed to do was to take a photo of my LO, crop and upload, little Jao decided to do his "business" at the same time. With yaya out for the day, mommy had to clean him up! What great timing that boy has! LOL! But the good news is, I made it to deadline.
Title: Grow
Journaling: You showed signs of independence when you started crawling. You wanted to be on your own right away.
Supplies: DCWV CS, BG Offbeat papers & stickers, AC foam thickers, Colorbox chalk ink, and Zig pen.
Thanks for looking! :)
