First Meal!

My baby boy Jao turned 4 months today. I'm sure all moms out there know that at this stage, babies can do so much. Already Jao can follow moving objects with his (big beady) eyes, rollover to his stomach and back, balance his head well, grab whatever he can (and puts it in his mouth), and cry his heart and lungs out! Yep, my boy can cry. I think babies are amazing, even with the crying.
When our pediatrician told me two weeks ago that we would be introducing solids on his fourth month, I got really excited. I had then been in the grocery store a couple of times deciding what cereal to get. So many choices! After a few more trips, I finally made a decision.

So this morning, Jao had his first cereal meal! He was kind of resistant at first but after a while, he finally gave in. I am so proud!

Two Years Today

Today is our second wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's been only 2 years. I feel that my husband and I are an old married couple. Well, maybe because we are old. Okay, not old but not young either.

Ours was a short courtship & engagement. We were both "of age" when we met and no longer believed in long engagements. We had practically spent our lives preparing for this anyway so the timing was just perfect.

Here's us 2 years & 10 pounds ago.

Hello!

Hello friends! Welcome to my blog! Just a couple of things about myself..

I'm a new mom to a little baby boy named Jao. It's been just a few months and I've learned so much already. It's amazing I'm like I'm in a whole new world. It's not an easy job but I love it!

I am also one into shoes!. My friend & I started our shoe business 2 years ago and then put up our own factory just last year. It's a fun thing to do because aside from loving to buy shoes (what girl doesn't, right?), I get to make them for myself and for others too!

And last but not least, I'm a newbie scrapbooker (thus this blog). I took interest in the hobby when my friends threw me a baby shower and scrapbooking was the main activity. My SIL Ria (a super scrapbooker) lead the pack with "some" her tools & supplies. Each one had to make me an 8" x 8" baby LO with room to put my baby's pictures later. After seeing the finished album, I immediately felt the 'need' to scrapbook specially with my baby coming. Here are some of the pages my friends made for me - 2 of them already with pictures and 1 still without.

After that evening, I immediately took the next step - hoarding scrap supplies of course! I'm still in the hoarding phase (I don't think anyone ever gets out of it) but after accummulating more than enough stuff, I was able to finish some LOs from my wedding.

Please excuse the dark pictures. I have yet to hone my photography and photo editing skills. Thanks for looking! :-)
