Last month, I promised to scrap 2 photos this month (and the month is about to end!!!) - one is a photo of my mom for mother's day and the other of my parents' wedding for their would-have-been 42nd anniversary on April 28.
I started on the Wedding LO and hopefully it'll be done before the month ends. Meanwhile, here's my Mother's Day LO.
Title: Pure Beauty
Journaling: I always thought that my mom was one of the most beautiful women I have ever known. Growing up, I remember discovering how even more beautiful she was inside. She was a great wife, a great mom, a great sister, a great friend, and a great human being. She wasn't perfect (no, she was no Stepford wife, thank goodness!) but she was definitely perfect for me.
Materials: Papers (Dream Street, Chatterbox, BG, Jenny Bowlin); Rubons (Fancy Pants, Creating Keepsakes); Flowers (Prima, Petaloo); Brads (MM), Chipborad Alpha (Cosmo Cricket); Stamps (Prima, Fany Pants); Ink (Stazon, COlorbox); Heidi Grace plactic emb; 7G Gauffer tape; and misc lace.

Now I Can Breathe
Finally, tax season is over! It was a very toxic last 2 weeks for me. Now I can relax for a while. I just hope my tax money will go where it should.
Unfortunately, I missed Lasting Impression's Cosmo Cricket Challenge. My LO is still undone as are my other LOs. I hope to finish it soon.
Meanwhile, here's my LO for Scrapbytes March Challenge. It didn't win but it was "honorably mentioned" because of the (loooong) journaling. Yay! Thanks, Scrapbytes! :)
Materials: Bazzill & DCWV CS, Websters Pages Sweet Charity Line, Petaloo & Prima, Flowers, American Crafts Chipboard Alpha, MM Alpha Charms, Fancy Pants Rubons, Sandylion/Kelly Penacci Clear Stamps, MM Staples, Colorbox pigment Ink, Misc Crochet Flowers, Misc Note Paper, Misc Button, Brad, Lace, & Ricrac
Title: Remember When
Journaling: I can't believe it's been 20 years since this photo was taken. I was just getting out of college, lighthearted and full of hope. I remember having big dreams for myself - family, business, travel, and money. That was then.
This is my life now. I have a loving family, I manage my small business, I've traveled a few times, and I'm living a fairly comfortable life. It's funny how things don't always go as planned.
Looking back, I realize how much I've changed - now older, more mature, more responsible, and [hopefully] wiser - and yet remain the same lighthearted and optimistic girl in college. And I still have my dreams of family and security but this time they're all for my son.
I think I did okay in the last 2 decades. I may not be living my dream but I am most certainly living my life. And I wouldn't trade it for anything.
